It was later revealed that he isn’t actually the true guardian of the Inukai family. Shinji Inukai is the youngest guardian in the group. He has the uncanny ability of finding Tamaki wherever she goes which is partly because of his powers. He acts by his lonesome doing whatever he pleases. Ryou Kutani is the real guardian of the Inukai family. He is a descendant of the snake which allows him to control fire. Suguru Oomi is the acting leader of the guardians, albeit unofficial. He specializes in using illusions and spirit fire. Yuuichi Komura is also one of Tamaki’s guardians who turns out to be a descendant of the legendary nine-tailed fox. He is a descendant of the “raven” which allows him to control the wind. Mahiro Atori is Tamaki’s classmate who turns out to be one of her guardians. He soon discovers that he is a reincarnation of the Underworld God and Tamaki is her lover in their past lives. He is eventually hated by Tamaki for his rather cold demeanor and attitude towards her. Takuma Onizaki is the very first guardian who Tamaki met. She later falls in love with Takuma after realizing that they were lovers in their past lives. She is shown to have strong faith faced with a situation that is despairingly hopeless. Tamaki Kasuga is an ancestor of Princess Tamayori whose duty is to seal away the sword Onikirimaru. Turns out, she is actually an ancestor of the esteemed Princess Tamayori and it’s her duty to seal away the sword Onikirimaru with the help of her five guardians (Takuma being one of them) before the evil organization Logos gets their hands on it. She is then taken to see her grandmother where she explains to Tamaki about the destiny she is to fulfill. Not soon after, she gets attacked by slime creatures and a mysterious young man, Takuma, rescues him not a minute late. While waiting for the person who was supposedly sent to get her by her grandmother, she wanders off to a world quite different from where she came from. Tamaki is supposedly gone to love with her grandmother while her parents are away on business overseas. She finds herself revisiting a small village she vaguely remembers in her childhood. That’s one thing Tamaki Kasuga has to discover for herself.
